Consultation has concluded
The reconstruction of Major Street between Union Avenue and Earl Cuddie Blvd involves converting this road from a rural cross section to an urban cross section to match the existing section to the east. The work includes removal of the existing surface and granular, road widening, installation of storm sewers and water main, curb and gutter, replacement of the existing sidewalk on the north side of the road. Construction is expected to be completed by August 20, 2021.

During construction:
no parking along Major Street (please use driveways)
do not approach the construction crews as they are adhering to strict health and safety procedures
access to dwellings will remain available
localized detours and/or traffic delays will be in effect during the construction period
