Queen St and Perry St Public Information Centre (PIC)

A Public Information Centre (PIC) for an upcoming road rehabilitation project, on Queen Street and Perry Street will be held on Tuesday, October 28th between 5:00pm and 7:00pm. The event will take place in the Scugog Memorial Public Library, located at 231 Water Street, Port Perry.

This project was initiated by Scugog Township with engineering services provided by Planmac Engineering Inc. The PIC will be an informal open house that is open to all interested in attending. This is part of our consultation process with residents, committees, the Business Improvement Area (BIA) and the Chamber of Commerce. This event will provide attendees with information about the construction project. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with the members of the project team, ask questions and provide comments. Anyone with interest is invited to attend and participate. Content from the PIC will be posted here for those unable to attend.


Project Overview

Project Limits:

  • Queen Street - Scugog St to Water St
  • Perry Street - Queen St to Mary St

Proposed Work:

  • Repairs to the storm sewer infrastructure
  • Replacement of the road surfaces
  • Repairs to concrete sidewalks and curbs
  • New curb extension bump-out near the post office building
  • Extension of the curb and sidewalk on the west side of Perry Street

Construction Timeline:

  • Mid summer to Fall 2026
  • Exact start date to be determined
